About Illa

My photo
"Honestly, I just like have to fun. I'm 18-years old for crying out loud. As a producer, I automatically have more freedom to do different things because its my job to do it. So you know what, I'mma do it." Born in the southern region of notorious Bronx borough in New York City, Illa grew up like many teenagers in America. He lived with both parents and went to public schools all through his Senior year in high school and played sports as a child . But what makes him so special? Illa elevated his notoriety as a musician and has done what most artists are afraid to do and express his biggest flaws in his personality through his music. With songs like "16", a song written as a will that would soon convince Illa to refrain from committing suicide, and "Dopamine", a narrative of his experiences with a female of the past.

ILLA'S TOP TEN JAMS OF 2009

10. All The Way Turnt Up by Roscoe Dash featuring Travis Porter & YT

If you go to an HBCU then you know exactly why this song is on this list. It is a known fact that they played this song at each and every party this past semester at my school.

9. "Every Girl" by Young Money

Even though the radio eventually played it out, it was the hottest to me for the longest. I would go to the club just to hear the song.

8. Maybach Music 2 by Rick Ross featuring T-Pain, Lil Wayne & Kanye West

By far the most musically-enhanced street anthem in the history of hip-hop.

7. When The Money Goes(Remix) by Fabolous featuring Jay-Z

This did not at all get the buzz it should've. Shout outs to Fabolous.

6. We Be Steady Mobbin' by Lil Wayne & Gucci Mane

This song changed my attitude and outlook on the people around me. "Man fuck these niggas!"

5. Already Home by Jay-Z featuring Kid Cudi

My favorite song off the Blueprint 3. The performance is even better.
4. Hyyerr by Kid Cudi featuring Chip Tha Ripper

This is the song that actually drove me to get Kid Cudi's album. Shout outs to Chip and the whole 216!
3. Sweat It Out by The Dream

"Girl call Latisha your beautician."

2. Movie by Chip Tha Ripper

My crew and I have this on repeat every single day. "My life like moooovie!"

1. I Get Up by J Cole

If you look at my top 25 most played songs on my iTunes, this song will not only be on top at 162, but blow the next song, Sweat It Out by The-Dream, by 34 plays. J Cole!

K.E. AKA My Twin Brother

Sorry its been so long! I had to take a real long break and separate my self for a little bit. Look what I came back with though....

Recently I had the opportunity to meet a fellow producing colleague of mine, K.E. He has produced some of my favorites including "Showout" by Roscoe Dash, "Have Her Singing Like" by Travis Porter, "We Do It Big" by J-Money and a whole lot that I can't think of. I plan to do business with Mr. K.E soon.
